Probate

This involves contacting all the institutions and companies that are connected to the deceased such as banks, building societies and pension providers. Once a detailed account of the deceases assets and liabilities are ascertained, Probate and Inheritance Tax forms need to be completed. These documents need to lodged with the Probate Court before the Probate Certificate can be provided.

Hallmark Solicitors will contact the various institutions and obtain Probate. We will take on the responsibility of collecting liquid assets and paying off the deceased’s debts. We will deal with Inheritance Tax and notify HMRC. We aim to minimise the distress and pain of losing a loved one and will ensure that the legal side of administering the estate is dealt with speedily and efficiently.
